We would like to celebrate the children's grandparents by hosting a special event just for them. Each child will be allowed to invite their grandparents to school to participate in a project and/or activity.
If your child's grandparents are unable to attend, please feel free to invite another relative or friend.

11:00AM-1:00pm
Grandparents are welcome to eat lunch with their student.The cost of lunch is $3.85. If you are going to eat lunch with your student, we do ask that you contact the school, so that our cook can prepare enough food for everyone.

Dear Parents/Guardians/Community:
Welcome back, we are looking forward to another great year! Hope you had a wonderful summer and are ready for the school year to begin. The goal is to continue providing the strong educational setting that the Fort Ransom Elementary School has been noted for.
This letter is written to update you on the 2023-2024 school year. School starts for grades K-6 on Monday, August 28, 2023. The school day starts at 8:00 am and the children are dismissed at 3:00 pm.
Breakfast and lunch will be served daily for the 2023-24 school term. We have also enclosed the 2023-2024 Application for Free or Reduced-Price Meals with instructions, the annual asbestos notification letter, and a page with information regarding the new app that will be available soon.
Miss Hope Ciesynski will be teaching the full-time kindergarten and 1st grade. Mrs. Elizabeth Kruger will be teaching 2nd and 3rd grades, and Mrs. Leila Mark will be teaching 4th, 5th, & 6th grade classes. Mrs. Mark will be in charge of PE and Mrs. Myers will be our music para to begin the school year. Mrs. Holly Trzpuc is the cook and Mrs. Sherri Ness is our paraprofessional/custodian. Kyli Sours is the school secretary/paraprofessional. Mrs. Katie Birklid will be a substitute teacher. Currently, we are seeking a food service worker to cover duties when Holly, our school cook, is absent. If you, or if you know of someone, who would like to help to be a consistent substitute, please let us know. Pay will depend on experience. An application is available at the school office, or you can download an application from the school website listed at the top of this letter.
Our bus drivers are Darla Smith and Terry Brown, with James Sorby as our transportation supervisor. Call your drivers with any route questions. We are always in need of additional bus drivers for our school.
The Fort Ransom School Board members are Jonathan Ness, President; Lynn Thorfinnson, Vice-President; Chelsey Jones, Stacy Ercink, and Samantha Weidner, Directors. The school board welcomes your comments and concerns.
